I ordered the black OEM "molding garnish" from Rally Sport Direct. They came in a set. One for each side.
These pieces are made for the Special Edition WRX (STI ones are available). I didn't think the original silver ones suited my car.
You know, a hair dryer is nowhere near the same as a heat gun. So, because of that I took an hour and a half to install these where it should have taken 30 minutes. Most of that time was spent trying to remove all of the glue from the surface.
After that it was only a matter of placing the trim piece in place of the other. It already comes with the glue pre-applied.

oh my! when these were released I could not understand the thinking that went into having a one piece of silver shininess. I REALLY like what you did.

Yes, actually.
There's a company that sells a vinyl pieces to cover that up. I'm looking into it. I really think that chrome needs to go.
